Autocar takes the all-new Mazda CX-5 out for a spin for its first time in the UK, reviewing the latest updates to the model’s interior and exterior styling, as well as enhancements to its performance.

Noting the crossover’s “wide-mouthed grille and glowering headlights”, Autocar have been impressed by the “infinitely sleeker” design. Inside, drivers can enjoy significant noise reduction, a higher quality trim and a “free-standing infotainment screen”.

Along with these sophisticated and sharp design features, the popular crossover now has a “15% improvement in torsional rigidity”, allowing the four-cylinder engine to achieve 310lb ft of torque, which is “bewilderingly superior to the 280lb ft of the bigger-selling detuned version”.
